PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR GMS "REALITY DAY"
We are still seeking 15-20 volunteers to help with the 8th grade REALITY DAY at GMS on MAY 11TH. This event is designed to teach students to learn to budget money, write checks, balance a checkbook and research life/career choices after graduation. Plan to arrive at 8A at GMS; event should be over by 10:45A. To allow parents with younger students to volunteer, you may bring your Spaulding or Marr/Cook student with you and a school bus will pick them up around 8:15A and drop them off at their school.
Please consider volunteering and help make this a successful event. Volunteers are not limited to GMS parents.

Starting this week, PTO is hosting a LABELSFOR EDUCATION CONTEST and asking parents, neighbors, relatives, etc. to clip and send in “Labels for Education” as we near the end of the school year. “Labels for Education” proofs are found on many products such as Campbell’s Soup, V8, Swanson, Pop Secret, etc. Students should bring the labels in a zippy bag or envelope CLEARLY MARKED with the TEACHER’S NAME AND NUMBER OF LABELS anytime between now and May 11th to be included in the contest. In addition, students will receive 5 points for each E-Labels for Education/Kroger Plus Card entry form they bring back to school.
