EXCITING NEWS ON WHEELS FOR AUSTIN:

1) Ten GHS students, myself & Ms. Smith attended the Anthony Muñoz Youth Leadership Seminar last October. During that event, Mr. Muñoz challenged those in attendance to develop & implement a service project that would impact our community, from which “Wheels for Austin” came about. At the beginning of March this year, we submitted information about the Wheels for Austin project then recently learned Mr. Muñoz had selected it as the top project. Last Tuesday he came to GHS to present us with a check for $2,000 which will, of course, be added to the Wheels for Austin fund!

2) Then late last week, GHS's Brian Russell informed me he had contacted a former colleague who is associated with a foundation that makes donations to such causes as Wheels for Austin. They have offered to donate the final $5,000 once we have reached $25,000! HOW AWESOME IS THAT! So, please continue to do what you can with any of the following:
