Mrs. Teke Arrested
Mrs. Teke's homeroom had her "arrested" by raising the most money during the Pennies for Patients fundraiser. Her class raise an incredible $1046.04. As a school, GMS donated a grand total of $3977.16. Way to go!
Eighth grade math students were recently given an opportunity to apply their math skills to real life problem solving. Students were required to scale a real life building down to a model (3 story) and make it structurally sound to withstand an earthquake. They had to use cross-bracing by calculating the Pythagorean Theorem. Students then tested their models on an earthquake machine borrowed from the University of Cincinnati.
