    NCE AND OAA: 6

    What We Know

If we dig around in the state's data system, we can find a list of the projected NCE score (Value Added target) for every student, grades 4 - 8, Math and Reading.

Digging a little further, we can find 2010-11 final NCE scores for every student. These are the NCE scores the students actually EARNED on the OAA Reading and Math tests.

Pulling this information over to DataMap, we can now analyze and chart the OAA score that yielded each NCE (Value Added) score.

Repeated for each grade level and content area, we have a way to translate NCE scores to OAA scores.

Combined with the downloaded list of Projected NCE scores for 2011-12, we have rough targets for every student grades 4 - 8, reading and math.

The natural progression then is to chart the average Pro-Ohio B test score required to yield each OAA result.

Using the combination of past and present NCE data, OAA data and Pro-Ohio correlations, we can deliver both Pro-Ohio and OAA reading and math target scores for each student in your classroom.
