Google Apps is the name given to the entire suite of web-based productivity apps hosted in the cloud at Google.
You may here it called "Google Docs" by students, which is how it is known outside of business or education environments.
Google Apps allows students and staff to create and edit documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) from any browser anywhere in the world. The files are stored on the internet, and are available at home or anywhere else. Students and staff can share and collaborate online.
Every teacher and student in GLSD has a Google account.
