Mental Health Resources

Rooted in the Goshen Local School District's Mission and Vision, the district's Mental Health Strategic Plan reinforces our commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for all students, staff, and families.

Our plan reflects a continuum of programs, supports, and dedicated personnel who serve across all grade levels:

  • At Marr-Cook Elementary, we offer targeted programming that supports our youngest learners’ social-emotional development, led by committed mental and behavioral health personnel who foster strong foundational well-being.

  • Spaulding Elementary continues this work with expanded supports focused on regulation, emotional skill-building, and behavioral health, delivered by a robust team of professionals attuned to developmental needs.

  • At Goshen Middle School, students benefit from transitional support systems and resiliency-focused programs. Mental health staff engage in proactive and responsive work to ensure student safety and well-being.

  • Goshen High School offers mental health and behavioral supports that prepare students for postsecondary life, including career readiness, coping strategies, and personal wellness, guided by a team of licensed professionals and counselors.

Critical to our district’s mental health infrastructure are our Risk Assessment and Crisis Response Protocols, which include clearly defined procedures for:

  • Suicide Risk and Response, ensuring timely, compassionate, and effective intervention

  • School Threat Assessments, supporting the identification and mitigation of potential harm while prioritizing restorative and safety-focused responses

We collaborate with community-based service providers and partner agencies, including Behavioral Health Services of Clermont County, who work hand-in-hand with our schools to provide wraparound care. In addition, our social service community partnerships and resources extend support to families facing barriers beyond the school setting.

In the event of immediate concerns, our plan outlines Crisis Response Resources that are accessible to all members of the school community.

Mission & Goals

Connect: Bring together the different providers, agencies, and wellness disciplines serving Goshen students

Share: Share resources and information key to helping our students and connecting them with available resources and programming

Peer Support: We all need encouragement, period. This group shares a professional theme, which allows us to look out for each other’s well-being and morale. In helping marginalized people, it’s important we ourselves connect and support each other

Culture Building: We seek out opportunities to bring this team together to build into Goshen teachers and staff
