Goshen Local School District is gearing up to elevate its educational offerings with the introduction of innovative programs at Marr/Cook Elementary School, Spaulding Elementary School, and Goshen High School.
In grades K-5, the addition of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) education will provide students with hands-on learning experiences.
Elementary students will participate in a variety of activities that emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. These may include building structures with blocks as they learn about shapes and patterns, experimenting with simple machines, and conducting basic science experiments. Students may also engage in coding exercises to develop basic computer programming skills.
This initiative aims to cultivate a strong foundation in STEAM disciplines from an early age, empowering students to excel in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Meanwhile at Goshen High School, a new business program will be launched that is designed to equip students with practical knowledge and entrepreneurial expertise. The new GHS courses Marketing Principles and Business Foundations will provide a solid foundation in business and marketing principles, preparing students for future academic and career pursuits in the business field.
These programs underscore the district's commitment to providing comprehensive and forward-thinking education for all students.
